VaultWise stores your financial records locally by default, does not sell them, and uses no advertising SDK. Optional network and iCloud features are explained below.
1. Information you create
Accounts, balances, transactions, categories, budgets, recurring payments, savings goals, loan/card details and preferences are created on your device. No VaultWise account or email sign-in is required.
2. Local storage and security
The main financial database stays on-device. PIN credentials are protected in iOS Keychain; Face ID/Touch ID uses Apple’s on-device authentication. Limited net-worth, budget or upcoming-payment summaries may be stored in the App Group for widgets and Live Activities.
3. Optional backups
You choose where an exported .vwbak is saved or shared. When you explicitly run iCloud backup, it is placed in the iCloud Drive container tied to your Apple account under Apple’s terms. The developer cannot access your iCloud account or backup.
4. Network requests and prices
FX data may come from Frankfurter; crypto and metal prices from VaultWise Cloudflare Worker endpoints. Requests can reveal selected symbols, standard HTTP data and network metadata such as IP address to those operators. Account balances and transaction history are not included.
5. Apple services
Purchases and restoration use StoreKit/App Store; VaultWise never receives card details. iCloud, notifications, widgets, Live Activities and biometrics are Apple platform services and Apple may process technical/account data under its own privacy policy.
6. Analytics, advertising and tracking
The app includes no third-party advertising SDK or behavioural analytics and does not track you across apps or sites. If you email support, your address and message are processed only to respond to the request.
7. Retention, deletion and control
Delete records in-app or use Settings > Reset All Data for local data. Deleting the app removes on-device data; exported and iCloud backups must be deleted separately by you. You may ask us to delete support correspondence.
8. Children
VaultWise is not directed to children and does not knowingly collect their personal information. Contact us if you believe a child sent personal information through support.
9. Changes and contact
