Terms of Use

By downloading or using VaultWise, you agree to these terms.

1. Scope

VaultWise is a self-management tool for personal finance records, accounts, transactions, budgets, statistics, recurring payments, savings goals, live prices and iOS companion features.

2. Not financial advice

Calculations, prices, interest/inflation indicators and reports are informational only—not financial, investment, tax, legal or accounting advice. Verify decisions against official records and qualified advice.

3. Accuracy and your responsibility

You are responsible for data entry, categorisation and backups. Live prices may be delayed, unavailable or inaccurate. A bank, card issuer or lender’s official records prevail over the app.

4. Pro purchase

Pro is offered as the one-time in-app purchase shown in the App Store, not an auto-renewing subscription. Payment, Family Sharing eligibility, tax, refunds and restoration are governed by Apple and regional availability.

5. Backups and data loss

You are responsible for regular backups and checking they can be opened. Restore and legacy JSON import can replace existing records. No guarantee is made against loss caused by device failure, deletion, iCloud issues or incomplete/corrupt backups.

6. Acceptable use

Use the app lawfully and personally. Do not abuse service endpoints, disrupt services, bypass security, generate harmful traffic or infringe intellectual-property rights.

7. Third-party services

App Store, iCloud and price providers have their own terms and policies. Their availability, accuracy and changes are outside VaultWise’s control.

8. Intellectual property

The VaultWise name, design, software and original content belong to their respective rights holders. You receive a limited, revocable, non-transferable licence for personal use.

9. Disclaimer and liability

To the extent permitted by law, the app is provided ‘as is’ without a promise of uninterrupted or error-free operation. Mandatory consumer rights remain; liability for indirect loss, financial decisions or data loss is limited as far as the law allows.

10. Changes and governing law

Features and these terms may change. Material updates are published with a new date. Subject to mandatory consumer protections, the laws of England and Wales govern.
