How do I get started with VaultWise?
When you first open the app, we recommend adding your accounts. You can create a new account from the "Accounts" section in the side menu or by tapping the "Add Transaction" button.
Once your accounts are set up, you can start logging transactions, defining budgets, and building your personal inflation basket.
Where is my data stored? Is it safe?
All your data is stored locally on your device only. VaultWise has no servers — nothing is ever sent externally or stored in the cloud.
This means your data is entirely under your control.
Can I back up my data?
Yes. VaultWise lets you export your data in CSV and PDF formats, so you can save a backup to your computer or a cloud storage service of your choice.
To export, go to Settings → Export inside the app.
How does inflation tracking work?
From the "Inflation" tab on the Statistics screen, you can build your own shopping basket by adding items and entering prices over time. VaultWise automatically calculates and charts how prices change.
This gives you a personal inflation rate based on what you actually buy — not official statistics.
How does multi-currency work?
Each account can be set to a different currency. On the summary screen, you can choose a base currency to see the combined total of all your accounts in a single currency.
Exchange rates are updated manually — VaultWise uses the rates you enter.
How do I track my credit card balance?
Create a "Credit Card" account in the Accounts section. After entering your statement date and payment due date, VaultWise will show you upcoming payment reminders.
You can also enter your interest rate to track the total cost over time.
Will I lose my data if I delete the app?
Yes. Because data is stored locally on your device, we recommend exporting a CSV or PDF backup before deleting the app.
Is there a subscription? Any hidden fees?
No. VaultWise uses a one-time purchase model. Buy it once and you get lifetime access to all features — no monthly or annual fees.
